SUPPORTING THE ALBANY TENNIS ACADEMY (ATA) FOR 20 YEARS
HHG Legal Group proudly commenced operations in Albany over a century ago in 1919. We have always been committed to giving back and supporting organisations that enrich the community. The Albany Tennis Academy (ATA) is one such organisation that we have been pleased to support over the last 20 years.
Formed in 2001 by David Kerr, the ATA started out with just 10 kids in the first term. Now ATA has many participants that enjoy an array of programs including:
- Tennis in Schools
- Junior Coaching
- Squads
- Hot Shots
- Private Lessons
- Cardio Tennis
- Holiday Camps and more.
The ATA have an exciting year ahead as their LGSTA committee received the go ahead for 16 new Tennis Courts within The Centennial Oval sporting precinct on North Road. They are hoping the first soil will be turned just after July 1, 2021.
Our Executive Chairman Simon Creek was also taught to hit a ball from the founder, David just over two decades ago and we are proud to continue to support them each year.
As the charitable arm of the firm, HHG Giving Back reinforces our strong commitment to the communities in which we operate. Over the last twenty years there have been significant and unprecedented cuts to Legal Aid funding, placing vulnerable individuals further at risk. To lessen this gap, HHG Giving Back provides free legal assistance clinics and not-for-profit sponsorships, ensuring that help is accessible to those in need.
In addition to free and discounted legal assistance, HHG Giving Back supports a number of not-for-profit organisations and charities that facilitate domestic violence and elder abuse support programmes, conduct medical research for cures and treatments and run youth development initiatives across WA.
