Hagar Australia (the Australian branch of Hagar International) works indiscriminately with people who have suffered severe human rights abuses in Cambodia, Vietnam and Afghanistan. The organisation exists to restore the lives of those who have been devastated by slavery, paedophilia, torture and sexual exploitation.
Hagar’s mission statement is: “Whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to restore a broken life.”
After almost a year of supporting Hagar through the charitable arm of HHG Legal Group (HHG Giving Back), Simon Creek, HHG’s Managing Director, has been appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director. His mandate is law reform in South East Asia and stepping up the fight against organised exploitation. As part of this, Simon hopes to grow the Hagar volunteer support base in WA.
