For the second year running, HHG Legal Group has been announced as the only exclusively WA finalist in the prestigious annual Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards. The Australian Law Awards are the premier legal event of the year. Recognising excellence in law, the awards celebrate the profession’s most senior ranks, rising starts and trail blazers in legal businesses that are challenging traditional models.
HHG Legal Group, a finalist for Innovator of the Year last year, has this year been named a finalist in two categories:
Boutique Firm of the Year
Boutique firms are small to medium size pioneering, innovative practices that are challenging the structure and culture of traditional firms. HHG is known for its innovative service offerings and value for money (for example, HHG Essentials online legal solutions, HHG Flexi-Fees and HHG Giving Back. This is very new for the legal profession.
State/Regional Firm of the year
This award recognises outstanding performance by a law firm focussed not just on CBD practice, but also ‘whole of state’ practice. As a result of HHG’s commitment to all WA residents, what was a small firm only in Albany has grown to become a 50-60 employee West Perth, Mandurah, Albany and Mt Barker full service firm.
HHG’s Managing Director, Simon Creek has also been announced as a finalist for Managing Partner of the Year for the second year running. He has led the growth of HHG Legal Group from a run down, regional sole practice in 2003/4 to a thriving multi award winning WA medium sized law firm in 2016. He has focused on all aspects of growth including financial performance, business development, cultural development and branding. The firm is now a well-known WA brand.
